Once you have developed a certain level of competency, with our introductory courses, it is time to develop your technical skills with our virtual lab services.Â

Challenge Labs are online, browser based exercises, with content suitable for all levels. They offer the most contemporary, hands-on virtual lab environment, for you to practice real world technical skills.Â
Students can choose an individual pass which provides 180 days access to ONE Challenge Lab domain. Choose from AWS, Microsoft Azure, Containers & Kubernetes, Cybersecurity, Windows Server, VMware and Linux.Â
There are approximately 50 labs to choose from in each domain. Students are limited to THREE launches of each challenge lab exercise. This has been capped in order to ensure the labs provide real world objectives, which are difficult and ensure you learn by doing rather than memorising.Â
Once you launch a challenge lab exercise, your virtual lab will be built and launch in a browser based cloud hosted environment. These labs are all pre-configured for the specific exercise objective.Â
Depending on the level of difficulty, these challenges will provide you with guided instructions and the ability to assess your progress, in real time, as you go. The more advanced content will provide less guidance and aim to emulate real world scenarios you will encounter in the wild.Â
Challenge labs will give you the hands on preparation you need to successfully pass a number of different certification exams.Â
How To Log In
How To Access The Virtual Labs
1. After you complete a purchase of your chosen access pass, you will receive an email (the one you used at checkout) from [email protected] with your training key.
2. Please note that this can take up to 24 hours to process, however it is usually done a lot faster than this.
3. If for whatever reason you have not received your training key after 24 hours, please check your junk mail before contacting [email protected].
4. Once you receive the onboarding email, containing your training key, head to www.labs.thehackacademy.com. Alternatively you can select the ‘Challenge Labs‘ tab from the header of www.thehackacademy.com and then select ‘Sign In Portal‘ from the drop down menu.
5. Existing Account Customers: If you are an existing user, and have already created an account through our virtual lab environment (note that this is separate to the user account you set up for our online courses) select Sign In.Â
You will then be redirected to your user account, which will detail all your current and expired access passes. You can redeem a current training key by selecting the ‘Redeem Training Key‘ tab. Enter your training key in the pop up window and you will then have instant access to the Virtual Lab environment.
6. New Customers: If you are a new customer, select the ‘Register With Training Key‘ button on the labs.thehackacademy.com Login Page. Enter your training key in the pop up window and press enter. This will send you to a customer account setup page (please note this user account is separate to the user account you set up for your online courses).
7. Once you have created your account, and you are logged in, select your valid Subscription Pass or select ‘Browse On-Demand Courses‘.
